Her multidisciplinary work is focused on some of our world’s most challenging issues. She is the author of adult nonfiction books 24 Hours in Charlottesville: An Oral History of the Stand Against White Supremacy and the forthcoming 24 Hours at the Capitol: An Oral History of the January 6 Insurrection, YA historical fiction graphic novel Renegade Girls: A Queer Tale of Romance and Rabble-Rousing, and co-author of middle-grade graphic memoir Muhammad Najem, War Reporter: How One Boy Put The Spotlight on Syria.
